Why it's worth it
In summer, the heat and coastal wind dry the soil out very quickly. Irrigation set for dawn stops the water evaporating, doesn't scorch the leaves and takes the worry of watering off your hands, especially for a holiday home.
How we do it
We split the garden into zones: sprinklers for the lawn, drip for hedges and beds, separate drip for pots. We install the controller, set it up and show you how to change it. On maintenance visits we readjust it every season.
Signs your irrigation is failing
- Dry patches in the lawn while the rest is green: a sprinkler doesn't reach or is misaligned.
- Puddles or areas that are always wet: a leaking pipe or a solenoid valve that won't close.
- Dry plants next to healthy ones on the same drip line: emitters clogged with limescale.
- The controller won't start: flat batteries, especially in valve-box controllers.
- The water bill goes up for no reason: almost always a buried leak.
Irrigation changes with the seasons
A controller that waters the same in January as in August wastes water in winter and falls short in summer. Ideally, review the schedule at least in spring, early summer and autumn, and switch it off in the rainy months. A rain sensor does it for you when it rains.
If it's a holiday home, irrigation is what keeps the garden alive while you're away. With our maintenance we check everything is working on every visit.

Questions about automatic irrigation
Question not here? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll reply today.
How much does automatic irrigation cost?
It depends on the number of zones and the type of irrigation. We visit the garden for free and give you a fixed price in writing within 24 hours. Call us or message us on WhatsApp.
Do you repair existing irrigation systems?
Yes. We check for leaks, clogged emitters, solenoid valves and controllers.
Drip or sprinklers?
Sprinklers for the lawn and drip for hedges, shrubs and pots. Usually the two are combined.
What time should the controller water?
At dawn. The water reaches the roots before the sun gets strong, less evaporates and the leaves don't scorch.
